Easy U.K. Itinerary – 3 Weeks Solo Backpacking

Solo backpacking for the first time, can be very intimidating. In my case, it was my first solo trip, first time staying in hostels and first time planning every detail of my backpacking trip from start to finish alone! I searched all over for an easy U.K itinerary that would fit the three week time period I had. I wanted to see as much as possible, but remain realistic. The itinerary below is not only easy, but it’s very flexible should you arrive and decide to make last minute changes. Hostels and Air BnB’s are bookable last minute, even in high season. If possible, I highly recommend pre-booking your train tickets, the cost onsite was significantly higher, two times as high in some cases.

Below is the exact itinerary I followed and based on my experience, I believe it’s very manageable for a first time backpacker.

Break Down Of UK Itinerary:
London (3 days – 2 Nights)
Bath (3 days – 2 nights)
Conwy, Wales(3 Days – 2 Nights)
York (3 Days – 2 Nights)
Edinburgh (4 Days – 3 Nights)
London (2 Night 3 Days)

London

Hostel: Safestay London Kensington Holland Park, Holland Walk, London, England
Holland Park Tube Station

Hostel Review: This is located in the heart of Knotting hill. The park is stunning, with free roaming peacocks and incredible walking trails. If you’re here in the summer months, you can hear the London Opera from the front yard of the hostel, the open stage is located directly behind the hostel grounds. It’s seriously an incredible location.

Suggested Activities:
Portobello Market
Shakespeare Globe
